5 volunteers are needed for this event to act as judges and/or volunteer aides.
The event is being conduced in hopes of sparking high school student's interest in science/genomics so this would be a great opportunity to mentor to high school kids about medical careers.
The evening will begin at 5:30 PM (as volunteers you should arrive 20 minutes early) with a buffet dinner. There will then be a 20 minute presentation about careers in genetics and the path from high school to graduate school, followed by the student-led demonstrations. The event should last about two hours, and is worth three points (outside event).
Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from site.
